Join us to hear Sharon McInnes speak about and answer questions on her memoire, Walking Each Other Home, a book published by BWL Publishing in March 2026.

Sharon is an award-winning short story writer, is on the board of the Comox Valley Writers Society and host of Beyond the Page in the Comox Valley, a podcast for readers and writers.

She is currently narrating the audiobook. Sharon will share her process in writing the memoir about the eighteen months she spent as
caregiver to her mother, who had vascular dementia. She’ll address the many questions she had to ask herself throughout the five-year writing journey: What will it be “about”? Where to start the story? Where to end it? What title to use? And finally, should I Ieave it in a drawer, self-publish it, or try for a traditional publisher?
