Selling Your Words: Writing for Love and Money
Marketing yourself as a writer is an ongoing challenge. Who will pay us for doing the work we love? In her talk, Kate Cino will tell us the answers she found for that question.
Kate didn’t realize she had writing skills until age 40. While completing an Art History Degree at UVic in 1991 her professors encouraged her to continue writing about art. Kate went on to preview arts events, dance, theatre and opera at Boulevard Magazine for 18 years. In 2001, she completed a Public Relations certificate at UVic.
In 2009, when her work with Boulevardended she founded the website Art Openingsto promote creative people and places. www.artopenings.ca
