Join the Victoria Writers’ Society and the Federation of BC Writers for a special speaker event! Dr. Ruth DyckFehderau will give a lecture on Censorship, Changing Language, and Precision: Writing the Tightrope. In this talk, Ruth will walk us through how language changes, what we can do to stay current, and how this balancing act impacts our ability to get published.

Ruth DyckFehderau writes fiction and non-fiction. She teaches Creative Writing and English Literature at the University of Alberta. She is working on a commission to prepare Indian Residential School recovery stories with/for the James Bay Cree of Northern Quebec. www.ruthdyckfehderau.com
